Native Nation Rebuilders Program

Do you see yourself as an emerging Native American leader who is interested in improving your Native nation? If you live in Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota and are enrolled in one of the tribes that shares geography with these states, apply today to become part of the next group of Native Nation Rebuilders. This two-year program, supported by the Bush Foundation, aims to strengthen your leadership skills and nation-building knowledge. Between April and July 2012, more than 2,000 Minnesotans came together in more than 40 community conversations called Citizen Solutions to share their concerns about and ideas for fixing health care in the state.

Native Report

The television program Native Report visited with Foundation staff and Native Nation Rebuilders from Cohort 2 in the summer of 2011 and aired this segment about the Rebuilders Program in January 2012.

Leadership Chautauqua Tent

Leadership development peers gathered under the tent in June 2012 to share knowledge and experience on how leadership development programs improve leadership effectiveness and, in doing so, can strengthen community vitality.

In fall 2011, local government officials and leaders from across Minnesota came together to discuss ways to continue to provide quality public services at a time of economic insecurity in the state budget.
