Finland, MN — The rural area I live in does not have enough economic opportunity to retain most young people and families. We need to create a more diverse and sustainable economy in the area. Logging, mining and tourism provide some jobs, but they are unstable and growing more so. I propose to create an economic hub in Finland, Minnesota, that will support home-based businesses and other small businesses, and will provide job training and other economic development activities.
