Before you begin your application please be sure to do the following:
- Read the Eligibility & Criteria information.
- Familiarize yourself with the application questions (click here for PDF of questions). You can prepare your essay responses ahead of time in a word/text file and then you can cut/paste your responses into the online application.
- Make sure you select your reference writers and send them the reference form they will need to complete on your behalf. They must submit reference forms to the Bush Foundation at least one week before the application deadline. Please make sure they include your name - as you have it on your application - in the subject line of the email (ex. Reference for John A. Smith). Click here for specific information on references.
- Online Application Instructions - You will need to create an online account in order to access and complete the application. If you have applied for a Bush Fellowship or the Native Nation Rebuilders program in the past, you can use your existing account information.
- If your application is selected as a finalist you will be required to attend an in-person interview. You will be assigned one of the date options in either the morning or afternoon block of interviews. The date/time you are assigned cannot be changed.
