I do not live on my reservation; can I still apply to the program?

Yes. However, you must be still be in touch and engaged with your reservation, and be committed to working with your tribal government to improve conditions there.

What does living in or near my reservation mean?

It means that you live in the same geographic area as Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, and that that you are involved and up-to-date with what is going on at home.

If I am an Urban Indian, may I still apply?

Yes.

Looking at the dates for the program, what if I see that I have a conflict with one of the sessions?

If you are not able to make a session, we recommend that you apply the following year.

I do not know what my schedule will be next year; can I still apply to the program?

Yes. However, you will need to sign a commitment to attend all and entire sessions before you begin the program.

What costs are covered by the program?

In addition to covering the cost of instruction, materials and facilitation for Rebuilder events, the Foundation will also reimburse Rebuilders for the cost of transportation to and from events, as well as the cost of meals and lodging while at events.

Do I need an endorsement from my tribal council to apply to the program?

An endorsement from your tribal council is optional.

Am I too old? Am I too young?

The minimum age to apply is 25; there is no upper limit.
