Supporting innovation of all shapes and sizes

March 6, 2014

Last year, the Bush Foundation launched our Community Innovation Grant program to support the process of creating innovative solutions to community challenges with grants of $10,000 to $200,000.  But innovation comes in all shapes and sizes, and we saw a need for Community Innovation Grants that support organizations with project budgets of less than $10,000. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Headwaters Foundation for Justice in Minnesota, The Consensus Council in North Dakota and the South Dakota Community Foundation to expand the reach of Community Innovation Grants with three new programs making grants between $500 and $10,000.

These new Community Innovation Grant programs will support the same types of work and use the same criteria as the Community Innovation Grant program at the Bush Foundation. We know that community problem-solving is hard work; it requires time and resources to pursue new, innovative solutions in an effective way. We hope that all four Community Innovation Grant programs will help to make this pursuit possible for more organizations across this region.
