Khamara joined the Bush Foundation as a Strategy and Learning Coordinator in March 2018. In her role at the Foundation, she provides administrative support to the Community Creativity and Social Business Ventures teams.
Before moving to the Twin Cities, Khamara was the Event Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota in St. Cloud, MN. Prior to that, she lived in San Francisco where she worked at the world-renowned Exploratorium as an Explainer Supervisor. Khamara has an extensive theatre background and has participated in many facets of the theatre-making process including writing, producing directing, acting, and stage managing. Khamara has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a Professional Certificate in Acting from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
When she's not at work, Khamara enjoys reading, writing, hiking, traveling, visiting family, and hanging out with her daughter.
