Ramla Bile joined the Bush Foundation as a Community Innovation Program Manager in 2019 – bringing over ten years of experience as a strategist, social entrepreneur, and storyteller.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Ramla served as Principal at Qalam Consulting where she helped nonprofits, foundations, and small businesses grow their grassroots impact. She holds a bachelor's degree in Global Studies and Political Science with a minor in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota.

Ramla co-founded and writes for Ubuntu: the Collective, a platform that spotlights emergent issues impacting the global Black diaspora. Through this and other platforms, she explores philanthropy, racial and social identity, immigration, faith, and more – with a focus the intersectionality of Blackness and Islam. In her free time, she enjoys walking and hiking Minnesota's beautiful parks and trails with her young daughter.
