Kelly has been with the Foundation since 2000 and is currently its’ Program Operations Director, supervising technology, grants management and flexible office operations for the Foundation. In other words, the behind the scenes support so that everyone else can get their jobs done department. Kelly originally came to work at the Bush Foundation as its first grants manager, learning the trade from a wonderful group of local and national colleagues in a community of practice she still relies on today.
Before coming to the Foundation, Kelly worked at the University of Minnesota in the investment office. She has an undergraduate degree from Carroll College (Montana) and a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. Originally from the great state of Montana, Kelly has now lived in Minnesota longer, but has yet to acknowledge this simple mathematical fact.
Kelly’s dream is to someday have an office dog. Meanwhile, she gets by with two of her own dogs, Hawk and Romeo, who are not well-behaved enough to come to work (nor, sadly, do our policies allow it). Kelly and her husband Kurt enjoy outdoor activities, especially cabin time in northern Minnesota.
