Margaret Arzdorf-Schubbe

Margaret (Maggie) Arzdorf-Schubbe’s connection to the Foundation dates to the 1980s when she worked closely with Bush staff to formulate the Foundation’s pioneering philanthropy to address issues of domestic violence.  She began working as a consultant for the Foundation in 1991 after completing her Bush Leadership Fellowship at the Kennedy School of Government. Maggie has provided various consulting services to the Foundation including leading the Foundation’s exploration of its grantmaking in North Dakota and South Dakota focused on increasing the Foundation’s effectiveness. She currently works on a number of Foundation projects, primarily with the Community Innovation Team.

Born in Fargo and raised in Moorhead, Maggie has always had an affinity for the three states that comprise the Bush region since traveling with her family while growing up. She loves the big sky, the varied landscape, and any body of water big enough for swimming.  Maggie lives in Afton with her husband and ballroom dance partner, Tom Schubbe.
