OCTOBER 23-26, 2019 | NORTHPORT, MAINE
PopTech is one of the nation’s premier thought forums committed to exploring our best possible future. Speakers and participants hail from all corners of the world. The multi-day program is designed around immersive and enriching experiences that include cutting-edge presentations, interactive sessions, shared meals, fireside chats in front of real fireplaces, late night debates, stargazing and much more. Forbes recently cited PopTech as 2018’s most inspirational conference.
The Bush Foundation is funding scholarships for 50 people from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography to attend PopTech 2019.
Each Bush Foundation scholarship will cover registration, lodging costs, travel to and from the event to be booked by PopTech's travel agent, and meals. The event relocated last year to Point Lookout in Northport, Maine, and lodging will be arranged in 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabins for all participants. Travel will include flights and a two-hour bus ride from Portland, Maine, to Point Lookout.
Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to gather together during the event so they can connect with one another.
This scholarship is administered by the PopTech Institute, and recipients will be selected by a PopTech Institute committee. Applicants must be 21 years old by the event date to participate.
The application process for PopTech 2019 was open from April 29 to May 17, 2019. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Update: Applicants will be notified whether they were selected by June 10, 2019.
