Nan K. Baker

In 1999, my home community created the Sioux Falls Arts and Culture Plan. In the time since, funding for arts and culture has become tighter just at a time when the city could benefit from strengthening itself as a creative, innovative community that people want to join.  Using my experience as an arts administrator and a Creative Community Leadership Institute Fellow, I will work with my community to update the city’s Arts and Culture Plan and explore the potential for a collaborative funding mechanism for art and culture organizations and individual artists in our community.
