In order for North Dakota communities to attract and retain young families, they must offer strong educational programs for children, including pre-Kindergarten. Recent legislation has enabled North Dakota public schools to fund early childhood education differently than in the past, making it possible for them to offer new or enhanced pre-K program. With my Bush Fellowship, I will encourage communities in my area to implement and continually improve their pre-Kindergarten education programs.
