Minneapolis, MN — NEON will build a broad coalition of organizations dedicated to increasing employment and economic equality for unemployed/underemployed African American males in North Minneapolis. NEON will engage these stakeholders to build a locally-governed entity that reinforces transparency, accountability, results and shared learning about workforce development.

Through this grant we were also able to better align our strengths as the business and entrepreneur development provider in north Minneapolis.

After holding several stakeholder meetings, we discovered that the Northside Funders Group was doing similar work and we knew that utilizing partnerships would allow for us to do more efficient and better work. We have since begun building partnerships.
