Minneapolis, MN — Renewing the Countryside II will grow the capacity of our local food system by developing a plan to make farmland more accessible to new and young farmers and supporting new and existing partnerships between food co-op members and farmers.

There is not an entity (private, government, non-profit) whose singular focus in farmland access...So we have worked to be inclusive, but what is helping us progress is collaboration.

Up to this point in the initiative, resourceful has been the most important element. The work that has been done on farmland access by others in other parts of the country, and to some extent, in Minnesota, has been extremely useful to our process.
