Partnership Rapid City – Teen Up is a youth-led community initiative with young people from a wide range of backgrounds and achievements who collaborate with each other and community partners to address issues they deem important.
Teens have contributed thousands of hours to the community in a variety of volunteer, advisory and leadership roles. Students consult regularly with the Rapid City Area School District Superintendent and serve on the United Way marketing committee, Big Brothers/Big Sisters board and a task force providing input into the city’s civic center expansion. They were instrumental in adding a Youth Taskforce to the Black Hills Homeless Coalition as well as creating projects addressing dating violence and sexting.
Housed within Rapid City Area School District #51-4, Partnership Rapid City – Teen Up continues to build a reputation as a place where youth have the authority and support to address meaningful issues.
