Grant For Midwest Indigenous Immersion Network
The Midwest Indigenous Immersion Network will spread Ojibwe language revitalization by developing a bigger, shared infrastructure for supporting the movement beyond localized immersion settings. They will improve opportunities to learn the Ojibwe language in public schools, support building up the pool of qualified teachers, and collaborate with stakeholders to address gaps in the current system of Indigenous language instruction. The ultimate aim of this work is to promote Ojibwe cultural sovereignty by organizing and sustaining language revitalization.
