Archibald Bush was deeply committed to the city of Saint Paul. Archie and his wife Edyth established the Bush Foundation in 1953. Following Archie’s death, Edyth Bush relocated to Winter Park, Florida where she established the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation.
As a tribute to Archie Bush, the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation pledged $100,000 to support a nonprofit organization that embodied Archie's legacy of working to strengthen the civic, social and/or cultural vitality of Saint Paul. The Bush Foundation matched the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation's contribution. Taken together, these gifts funded a one-time grant of $200,000.
