Marie Pillai was Vice President, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at General Mills from 2009-2020. In her role, she oversaw the management of a $10 billion portfolio including pension, 401(K), health care and General Mills Foundation assets. Prior to joining General Mills, Marie served as CIO for Siemens’ U.S. businesses, overseeing all aspects of their pension and 401(K) portfolios.
Marie began her financial career at Procter & Gamble, where she progressed through a wide range of financial leadership roles during her 16-year tenure, including category management, international operations, systems, brands, manufacturing and treasury.
She is currently a member of CIEBA (a professional group of Corporate Retirement plan sponsors) and a member of the Investment Advisory Board of the University of Minnesota. She also served on the Board of Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis and chaired the Investment Committee for 6 years, through 2017.
