Announcing the Community Creativity Cohort 2

September 18, 2018

We're thrilled to introduce the Community Creativity Cohort 2 — 40 organizations working to make art and culture central to problem solving.

“We believe art and culture can be powerful tools to help make the region better for everyone,” says Erik Takeshita, Community Creativity portfolio director. “Art and culture can help people build the courage and confidence to make a difference in their lives and in their communities. Art and culture also have the unique ability to bring people together, both within similarities and across differences.”

This participant-led learning cohort will identify and design learning activities to improve their work and strengthen their organizations throughout the three-year program. We will share what the cohort learns, as well as what we learn throughout the process.

Members of the cohort are both art and culture organizations and non-art organizations. All are led by and serving people of color or Indigenous people, and/or led by and serving people from rural communities and small cities and towns.
