Introducing bushCONNECT 2016 Recruitment and Programming Partners
Nearly 40 organizations partner with the Bush Foundation to produce bushCONNECT 2016, an event designed to build and strengthen connections between leaders and leadership networks in the region.

Nearly 40 organizations will partner with the Bush Foundation to produce bushCONNECT 2016, an event that brings together more than 1,100 people to build and strengthen connections among leaders and leadership networks across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.
The Foundation selected 18 organizations, representing a range of sectors and communities, to recruit attendees for its third bushCONNECT event, which will be held May 9, 2016, at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Recruitment partners will identify as many as 30 people from their network to attend bushCON. Working with a diverse group of organizations to recruit attendees helps ensure bushCON is an event where someone can create connections with people they might not otherwise have a chance to meet, said Bush Foundation Communications Director Dominick Washington. General admission tickets for bushCON go on sale in April.
The Foundation also selected more than 20 organizations to develop an eclectic array of workshops; programming that helps foster connections among attendees, develops valuable leadership skills, and inspires them to think bigger and differently about their work.
And for the first time, bushCON will offer a second day of programming at various locations throughout the Twin Cities. The second day will offer a range of skill-building programs and workshops. Washington said the Foundation expects to announce additional programming partners in the coming months, as well as keynote and featured speakers.

Do you know how CPR came to be? What about the 911 system? Ever wonder who developed the Pap smear? Or why school buses are all the same color? All these were the results of work funded by some foundation.
