Scholarships Available for Beyond Green

January 13, 2016

Open call for applications from artists and cultural changemakers in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography, to participate in:

Beyond Green: The Arts as a Catalyst for Sustainability
Salzburg, Austria
February 19 to 24, 2016

The program will take place at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, Austria from February 19-24, 2016, bringing together a group of sixty participants from around the globe committed to
promoting social, economic and environmental sustainability through the arts and cultural innovation.

Participating artists will represent a broad spectrum of cultural expression and artistic endeavors – including visual arts, performing arts, indigenous arts, craft, literature, cultural heritage, food, fashion, architecture and design – and will come from diverse arts organizations such as cultural heritage institutions, collectives, theaters, music organizations and museums. Together, participants will explore how the arts and creative practice can become a particle accelerator– to shift mindsets, encourage better stewardship of land and natural resources, embrace new ways of sharing space and assets, and catalyze more creative leadership in the public and private spheres.

The Bush Foundation is funding scholarships for selected participants to participate in the five-day program, including the session fee, room and board, and travel costs. Salzburg Global will make
travel arrangements for the selected participants.

All applications and inquiries should be directed to Salzburg Global Seminar, bprasser@salzburgglobal.org, who will conduct reviews and make selections according to the terms and conditions described in the Criteria for Applicants.
