As a grantmaking organization, we make investments in people and organizations working to make our region better for everyone.
We’re able to do this because of the funds entrusted to us by Archie and Edyth Bush. Over the years, we have invested those endowment assets with an eye toward growth. That requires staying ahead of inflation and adapting to other conditions that can affect those assets, and ultimately, our grantmaking.
Deciding how best to invest those assets is another way in which we have impact beyond our programs and grants – and a pretty significant way in which we can make a difference. What we decide to invest in helps build equitable and thriving communities and businesses that create jobs, build wealth and support economic vitality in our region.
We work with fund managers and other partners to do this work, and we are guided by our impact investing statement and operating values. Read our impact investing statement to learn more about our approach.
