Emily joined the Bush Foundation in 2017, where she leads strategic communications for the Community Innovation and Leadership teams and is the editor of bMag, the Foundation’s annual magazine.
Emily started her career in Washington, DC in nonprofit communications, development and project management. Her career path has led her through adventures like bringing European diplomats into the American Presidential transition, conducting undercover seafood fraud research, and launching a Jewish summer camp, as well as volunteering with organizations in Thailand and Mexico.
Most recently, Emily served as Communications Manager at Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, where she focused on strategic communications, event and multimedia production, diversity/inclusion and patient experience initiatives, and bringing patient stories to life across communications channels.
In her free time, Emily loves to travel, dance, read, hang out with her friends and dog, and get hygge during the long Minnesota winters.
