Grand Forks, ND — Native Nations Rebuilders Program (cohort 6) - Originally from California, Lisa moved to Mandaree, North Dakota, on the Fort Berthold Reservation where she was heavily influenced by Hidatsa cultural studies.  Lisa is in her final year at the University of North Dakota where she is majoring in communications. She is also currently a board member for Northstar Council, a nonprofit aimed at serving the Native community of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Lisa has a two-year old daughter named Phoebe, who is being raised to be bilingual. Lisa hopes to use her communication studies to help revitalize the Hidatsa language in Mandaree and other Fort Berthold communities
