Justin is a Grantmaking Officer who looks for ideas and people that can make our region better for everyone. He and the rest of the team review proposals and manage community relationships to be open and responsive. He is ready to talk with people who have ideas or question for any of our grant programs. Justin started at the Foundation in 2010 as a member of the Communications Team and has spent much of his time at the Foundation co-developing and managing components of its Education and Community Creativity strategic initiatives. His favorite thing about working at the Foundation is supporting opportunities that advance racial- and place-based equity, especially through creative community partnerships.
Before joining the Foundation, Justin worked at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities to foster inclusion and community connections across multiple arts disciplines and departments. He’s currently the board chair of Minnesota Jazz Education and serves on various other impact and advisory groups related to arts leadership and education. Justin loves living in SE Minneapolis and has an amazing partner, three kids, two cats and a dog. He’s always learning and is currently pursing a second master’s degree in analytics and a certificate in corporate social responsibility.
