As communications associate, Katie manages the operational aspect of the Foundation's community engagement strategy and leads the administrative activities of the Communications team. She joined the Foundation in 2024.
Katie's curiosity about people and the connections that help us thrive led her to work in the nonprofit sector, where she coordinated communication and engagement initiatives at Avivo, Brightside Produce, and Worldmaker International.
Katie earned a bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas; and is a graduate of the RISE Fellowship at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, a transformative experience that continues to shape her approach to social impact work.
Katie loves being a mentor at Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. She enjoys crafting, checking out local coffee shops and farmer's markets or meandering on the Superior Hiking Trail.
