Stephanie joined the Bush Foundation in 2010. Her current role is all about supporting the great people and strong culture of the Foundation through hiring, coaching, professional development and other HR activities. With her colleagues, she keeps the Foundation’s work on diversity, equity and inclusion moving forward.
Prior to this role, Stephanie managed the Bush Foundation’s Teacher Effectiveness Initiative and spent over fifteen years in Minnesota state government, leading budget development for the executive branch and several statewide redesign projects.
Stephanie's great loves include outdoor concerts with her husband Jim, doing just about anything with her two teens and capitalizing on obscure holidays and traditions to justify over-the-top baking extravaganzas. She’s always planning her next adventure, a lovely legacy from her parents who joined the Peace Corps and took their kids along. Someday she just might combine her passion for biographies, spy movies, walking tours and snacks into a viable side gig.
