Tammy Nolen

Communications Officer

As Communications Officer, Tammy promotes the Foundation’s grant opportunities and shares inspiring stories of our grantees to help spread great ideas to make the region better for everyone. She leads production of b Magazine, the Foundation’s annual publication highlighting the work of grantees and Fellows, and strategic communications for the Community Innovation program. She joined the Foundation in 2022.

Tammy has a strong commitment to working with mission-driven organizations. She has held various roles with Twin Cities nonprofits for over a decade. Most recently, she served as communications manager for a national coalition aimed at ending corporate control of the food system. Prior to that, she led communications and events at the Center for Economic Inclusion. She is most interested in amplifying stories that advocate for community-centered solutions rooted in racial and economic justice.

Tammy is a Minnesota native who enjoys the state's short Autumn season, dark chocolate and watching British mysteries. She has a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College and a master's degree from Regent University.
