Vivian joined the Bush Foundation as the Communications Director in 2020. She provides strategic leadership to the Foundation’s communication activities and assets. This includes printed publications, connection events, websites, and promoting the ideas and people the Foundation invests in.
Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked in communications, channel marketing and logistics at General Mills and Procter & Gamble. In these roles, she drove product portfolio growth and renovation, and optimization of production planning and transportation. She also led marketing and strategy at a privately-held food ingredients company, developing long-term plans, external engagement strategies, and customer value propositions.
Vivian serves on the steering committee for Greater MSP’s “Be MSP” initiative that supports retention of professionals of color, and on St. Catherine University’s Business Advisory Council. She is an advisor to AscendNAAMBA, an Asian business professional organization she was president of for several years. Vivian also founded CultureTastes, which creates and curates authentic global and ethnic experiences to bring a taste of the world to the Twin Cities.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She and her husband live in Minneapolis, but leave regularly to explore the world through international travel.
