Bush Foundation expands Ecosystem grants to all programs and intiatives. The grants provide general operating support to organizations that help create an environment for its its work to be successful.

The Bush Prize is awarded to organizations with a proven record of creating breakthrough solutions to community problems. In a region with so many organizations making great ideas happen, what makes Bush Prize winners stand out?

We're proud to announce the 2016 Bush Fellows, 24 leaders chosen for their records of achievement and their extraordinary potential to make significant contributions in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and 23 Native nations that share the same geography.

Four creative leaders from our region traveled to Salzburg, Austria last month to participate in a Salzburg Global Seminar entitled Beyond Green – The Arts as a Catalyst for Sustainability.

Three philanthropic intermediary partners fund problem-solving projects across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.

Nearly 40 organizations partner with the Bush Foundation to produce bushCONNECT 2016, an event designed to build and strengthen connections between leaders and leadership networks in the region.

Native Nations Vice President Jaime Pinkham inspires cooperation in Alaska; 2014 Bush Fellow Megan Laudenschlager fills a void in Western ND; and Native Nation Rebuilder/2014 Bush Fellow Richard Iron Cloud declared war on diabetes years ago, inspiring an annual athletic feat. 

A cohort of 22 tribal citizens will participate in the Bush Foundation’s Native Nation Rebuilders Program. Rebuilders in this seventh cohort participate in a two-year program and gain access to ideas and information, expanded networks, leadership training and other resources for nation-building.

Saroeun Earm is one of the newest Ron McKinley Philanthropy Fellows, and will join the Bush Foundation’s Leadership Programs team in early 2016. The team inspires, equips and connects leaders to effectively lead change. In her new role, Earm will support team efforts across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.
